Commission process

 

To start the process of a custom commission I will require a good quality photograph, meaning focused, clear and in good lighting. Focus on the head and shoulders often makes for the best portrait, although full body can be included if the photo is clear enough. Body positions are also important, for dogs in particular sitting and facing the camera is often the best position for a good portrait.

 

Upon receiving a photograph, we will then discuss the desired scale of the piece and the medium, scale may be limited to the quality of the photograph. Graphite pencil and coloured pencil drawings are drawn on 220gsm cartridge paper in any desired size. Frames available for A4 and 11x14" only. Gouache paintings are painted on canvas paper to be framed in A4 or 11x14" or directly onto a canvas sized 9x12" or 12x16".
